
Overview
Advanced Freediver - Level 3 is a two day class which including classroom, pool, and open water training. In the Level 3 class we will refine the skills learned in the Level 1 and Level 2 classes. In this class you will learn more advanced breathing, equalization, and stretching techniques. We will also work on extending your static apnea, improve your buddy skills, and build your confidence for deeper dives. In the open water sessions, we will work on body position awareness and conserving energy. And as always, we practice and review our safety protocol in open water allowing adjustment to the new environment. We will also practice advanced open water buddy skills. From there you will move recreational dives with maximum depths of 55 feet.
Prepare For Your Class
The following equipment is required for Level 3. You can read more about freediving equipment and rentals here.
Pen/pencil and note book
Mask (low volume)
Snorkle (standard “J” style)
Fins (long blade)
Wetsuit (3mil minimum)
You may also want to bring the following items:
Water shoes (Some students get raw feet after an extended time in the water.)
Towel
Water (no glass)
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
At the end of Level 3 you will be able to:
Perform a rescue dive reinforcing those skills learned during Level 2
Perform a 2:30 minute static breath hold
Perform a 165 ft dynamic swim
Single fin and no mask swimming
Advanced fining techniques
TERMS & POLICIES
You must be 12 years of age or older. You need adequate swimming skills and to be in good physical health. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving or freediving is required.
